The Library of Congress Has Something for You
Thursday October 1, 2026 2:00pm - 2:50pm MDT
Please take this opportunity to learn all about the Library of Congress (LOC) and how it can help us and our patrons thrive! The presentation begins with a quick history lesson on the LOC and the role it plays in the United States. The bulk of the presentation showcases helpful resources and trainings offered by the LOC that library workers in Wyoming can utilize to make their work a little easier. This part is especially useful for anyone that works in Tech or Adult Services. There is also a section that highlights services and activities that might be of interest to patrons, such as, the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled, copyright services for local authors, and volunteer opportunities. The presentation concludes with everyone getting the chance to participate in a volunteer opportunity to transcribe a document for the LOC.

Speed Networking
Friday October 2, 2026 11:30am - 12:20pm MDT
I would like to set up a time for people from around the State to interact with each other and get to know one another. In Wyoming it is often times hard to put names and faces together. I would provide some set questions for people to move from table to table and learn about each other. https://www.cvent.com/en/blog/events/speed-networking
